Camp zolacopher Sept 1 1862
Dear Dorothy
it is with pleasure I write to
to you I wrote to you last week
but Docter Allin was apointed
assistant Surgeon and Started home
but I under Stand he has stoped
at the lore [?] bridg thare fore
I write a gain Capt Cily [?]
Willson is our Capt now
we are 21 Miles from Jones borough
and 10 miles from Bistle we are
garding a Bridg a cross the
Holeston River we have took one
prisner and too Stills and 34 gallons
of Brandy thomas E is gawn
to Jonesborough with the prisoner
Since I am writing my other letter
came back and i will send both
we are moving and fireing so mutch
I cant write mutch I will
write all when I git Seteled
I am as Stout as I have benin a year I like the
lime Stone water just as
good as the free Stone
I want you to write to
me and give me all niws
of particularly you and the
Children God bless them
